FELLOWSHIPS


 

Abroad Writers' Conference invites you to enter our fellowship competitions in Short Story(Fiction and Creative non-fiction), Poetry, and Play Writing. Competition is open to everyone. Fellowship winners will receive a scholarship to attend the conference for free--airfare not included. Second place winners, will receive a 50% discount on our conference fees. Fellowship winners in short story and poetry will be published in our literary journal "Driftwood".


 

All manuscripts must be original unpublished material. Please indicate clearly at the top of the first page of each manuscript the genre of your submission (i.e., fiction, playwriting, or poetry) as well as the title of your work. Include your name, address,email and phone number, in addition to the title(s) of the work(s) submitted. Please enclose a $25.00 check, money order, cash or if you want to pay by paypal please contact me in advance. Please write checks to "ABROAD". Send to ABROAD WRITERS CONFERENCE P.O. We will not award fellowships until we receive a minimum number of 200 applicants to cover our cost. If the minimum has not been received in one month we will roll the competition over to the following month, or until the minimum number has been obtained.


 

Contest winners will be published in our official literary journal "Driftwood", http://driftwoodpress.com/aboutus.html.

Short Story competition will be judged by NBA Finalist/PEN HEMINGWAY Award winner, JOAN SILBER. Winner will attend our SCOTLAND CONFERENCE. Deadline Febuary 15, 2009.
